On the Day of resurrection
Whoever dies upon the aqedah of tawheed, free from shirk and was saved from the worship of other than Allah, but indulged in different sins, whether big or small, is under the will of Allah. It Allah the Exalted wills, He punishment him or forgives him.
The situation of the sinners on the plain of resurrection in recorded in many adhadith and these sinners fall into different categories, kinds and situations. Similarly, there are manu ahadith giving tidings, warnings, stirring yearnings and are intimidating. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam cautioned us against deeds which put its doers in a bad situation on the Day of resurrection. From these deeds are the following.
Declining to offer Zakah
These people are in great danger. They have denied Allahs right in wealth and also denied the righte of the poor. Due to their avarice. Ungenerous and weakness of their faith, they denied these rights. Their situation on the Day of resyrrection will be servers.
The Messenger of Allah salla alyhi wa sallam said, Anyone whom Allah has given wealth but does not pay its zakah, then, on the Day of resurrection, his wealth will be presented to him in the shape of a bald-headed posionous male snake with two posionous glands in its mouth and it will encircle itself round his nick and bite him over his cheeks and say, I am your Wealth; I am your treasure. Then the prophet salla alayhi wa sallam recited this verse, And let not those who covertously withhold of that which Allah has bestowed on them of His Bounty (Wealth) think that it is good for them (and so they do noy pay the obligatory Zakat). Nay, it will be worse for them.
Allah says,
And those who heard up gold and silver (AL-Kanz: the money, the Zakat of which has not been paid], and spend it not in the Way of Allah, announce unto them a painful torment. On the Day of when that (AL-Kanz: money, gold and silver, etc., the Zakat of which has not been paid) will their flanks, and their backs, (and it will be said unto them):- This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what you used to heard. (Surah At-Tawbah: 34-35)
The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said,
If any owner of gold or silver does not pay what is due on him, when the Day of resurrection will come, plates of fire will be beaten out for him; these will then be heated in the fire of Hell and his sides, his forehead and his nick will be cauterized with them. Whenever these cool down, (the process is) repeated during a day the extent of which will be fifty thousand years, will judgment is promiunced among the servants, and he sees whether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell.
It was said, O Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam, what about the camel? He (The Holy Prophet salla alayhi wa salla) said,
If any owner fo the camel does not pay what is due on him, and of his due in that (camels) is (also) to milk it on the day when it comes down to water. When the Day of Resurrection comes a soft sandu plain would be set for him, as extensive as possible, (he will find) that not a single young one is mission, and they will trample him with their hoofs and bite him with their mouths. As often as the first of them passes him, the last of them will be made to return during a day the extent of which would be fifty tounsand years, until judgment is promounced among servants and he sees wether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell.
It was (again) said, O Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam what about cows (cattke) and sheep? He said,
If any owner of the cattle and sheep does not pay what is due on them, when the Day of resurrection comes a soft sandy plain will be spread for them, he will find none of the missing, with twisted horns, without horns or with a broken horn, and they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hoffs, As often as the first of them passes him the last of them will be made to return to him during a day the extent of which would by fifty thousand years, until judgment would be pronounced among the servants. And he would be shown his path leading him to Paradise or to Hell.
