A Transgressor Against The Weak
Whoever transgressed against the weak with his power and authority, or exploited his position to oppress the weak and subjugate them, he will be punished on the Day of Judgment.
It is recorded in the hadith of Aisha that a man sat in the presence of the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam and said, O Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam, I have two slaves who belie, betray and disobey me and I curse and beat them, how am I in relation to them?
The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said,
They will be called to account concerning their betrayal of you, their disobedience and belying. As for the punishment you meted to them, if it is in proportion to their sin, then it is balanced. It is neither for you nor against you. If your punishment to them is less than their sins, then the excess will be for you. If your punishment of them is more than their sins, then the excess will be exacted from you on their behalf.
The man withdrew and began to weep and cry. The Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said,
Did you not read the Book of Allah, And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We as Reckoners. (Surah Al-Ambiyaa: 47)
The man said, By Allah O Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam, I do not find a better option and eschew it. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam has mentioned that oppression will result in darkness for the gulity on the Day of Resurrection, He said, Be on your guard against committing oppression, for opression is darkness on the Day of Resurrevtion.
