Principles Upon Which The Slave´s Reckoning Will be Conducted

 When all of the creation are gathered in the presence of the King, Exalted and Mighty be He, on a terrifying day, they will be barefooted without any shoes. They will be harded on foot without riding. They will be naked without clothes. They will have foreskin and they will be uncircumcised. They would have returned to their original features as Allah had created them the first time.

The situation will be terrify, the eyes of the sinners will stare in horror and the hearts of the tyrans will quake. The arrogant will be humiliated and the oppressors will be terrified. Their eyes will not be camled and their hearts will be denied tranquility. This is as Allah says,

Consider not that allah is unaware of that which the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stave in horror, )they will be) hastening foreward with necks outstretched, their heads raised up (towards the sky), their gaze returning not toward them and their hearts empty (from thinking because of extreme fear. (Surah Ibraheem: 42-43)

Yes, their gaze will not return towards them and their hearts will be empty (from thinking because extreme fear). Their hearts will choke their throats as Allah says,

And warn them (O Muhammad salla alayhi wa sallam) of the Day that is drawing near (i.e. the Day og Resurrection), when the hearts will be choking the throats, and they can neither return them (hearts) to their chests nor can they throw them out. (Surah Ghaafir: 18) Kadhimeen i.e. they will be silcent and will be unable to talk.

This earth will change, the mountains will be removed, the sky will be rend asunder, the stars will fall, the planets will disperse, the oceans will burst into flames, the sun will be wrapped up and the mighty angels will be terrified and the Messengers will be garhered.

All will stand in a great count, the court of the Day of Resurrection when the hearts shall choke the throats and the sun will draw close to the creation and when their situation will be critical in the presence of the King, Exalted and Mighty be He.

It is a court that will be attended by arch enemies and witnesses, where the records will be opened, excuses will be embargoed, hearts will tremble and tongues will vonfess. Allah says,

And he afraid of the Day when you shall be brought back to Allah. Then every person shall be paid what he earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjusfly. (Surah Al-Baqarah: 281)

If we peruse the Quran and Sunnah, we will discover general principles in the context of which the accunting of the slaves will be conducted.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
