The First Case That Will be Judged Among The People

 One of the greatest crimes and sins is to spill blood wrongfully. In our age unfortunately, against the backdrop of the proliferation of weapons and other killing tools such as different easy-to-use revolvers, killings have become easy and swift. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam has included this among the signs of the Last Day. He said, The last Hour will not come until htere is much bloodshed. They said, What is haraj? Thereupon he said, Bloodshed, bloodshed.

Due to the greatness of the right of blood, the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said, The first case to be decided among the people is that which involves bloodshed. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said,

A man will be brought holding the hand of another man and he will say, O Lord, this fellow killed me. Allah will say, Why did yoy kill him? The killer will say, I killed him so that honour can be Yours. He will say, Certainly it is for me. Another man will be brought holdning another man by the hand and he will say, This fellow killed me. Allah will say to him, Why did you kill him? He (the murderer) will respond, I killed himso that honour can be for so ad so! Allah will say, ´It (honour) does not belong to so and so. Then, his sin (i.e. of committing murder) will be case onto him.

A servant should be wary of shedding blood wrongfully. He should distance himself from dissension and quarreling. He should restrain himself at the time of anger. Safety and peace is sought from Allah.
