The First Nation to be Called to Account

 Due to the length of the waiting for accounting of the Day of Judgment, people´s anxiety and fear will be intense. Hellfire will have appeared in their presence. The Messengers will be fearful and the awliyaa will be shaken, the believers will be perplexed, the disobedient and the sinners will perspire and at that point, the reckoning will commence.

From the mercy of Allah on our nation and the King´s love for our Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam, the first nation whose reckoning will be taken is the nation of Muhammad the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said,

We are the last of nations and the first whose reckonig will be taken. It will be said, Were is the unlettered nation and its Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam? So, we are the last but the first.

He also said,

We are the last of the people of the world and the first on the Day of resurrection whose judgment will conducted before the (rest of the) creation.

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
