The Person Who is Negligent in Salaah

 Prayer is one of the pillars and important pivots of al-Islam. Prayer is the coolness of the eyes of the monotheists and the joy of the souls of the beloveds. It is an act of worship whpse importance Allah has maginfied and whose adherents He has dignified.

It is the last of what will eventually be effaced of Islam and the last advice which the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam gave. It is also the first things about which a slave will be asked in the presence of the King og the worlds.

We praise Allah the Almighty who permitted us to stand before Him, to turn our hearts towards Him and to solicit our needs from Him. Prayer is a bond and a meeting between the slave on the earth and the Lord in the heavens. If the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam was disturbed by a matter, he took recourse to prayer on the Day of Resurrection as the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned concerming the importance of Salaah,

Whoever preserves it, it will be for him on the Day of Resurrection light, proff and salvation. Whoever does not preserve it, it will not be form him light, proof and salvation and on the Day of Resurrection he will be with Fir´aun, Qaarun, Haaman and Ubay Ibn Khalaf.

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
