The Prophet´s Cistern is only for his Ummah
Every Prophet will have his Cistern on the Day of Resurrection from which the believers of his community shall drink. The Prophet salla alayhi wa salam has informed us that his Hawdh is specifically for his ummah and no other people will drink from it. Rather, each community will drink from the pond of the Prophet. This is as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said:
My people will come to me at the Cistern and I will drive away people (from it) just as a person drives away other people´s camels from his camels.´´ The Companions said: O Prophet of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam, will you recognize us?´´ He replied: ´´Yes, you will have a mark which other people will not have. You will come to me with a white blaze on your foreheads and white marks on your feet because of the traces of ablution. A group among you will be prevented from comin to me, and they will not meet me, and I will say: ´O my Lord, they are my companions.´ Upon this an angel would reply to me saying: `Do you know what these people innovated after you
This hadith confirms that those who wil be turned away from the Hawdh are the hupocrites who hid their disbelief and feigned Islam. They used to sit with the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam and it appears that the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam was warbubg them in this world that, ´some of you here seated with me will be turned away on the Day of Resurrection from teh Hawdh,´ because Allah will deal with them based on the relity of their situation.
Some of these hypocrites were exposed dyring the lifetime of the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam such as those who accompanied him on the battle og Uhud but when they got to the battleground, they withdrew; thre hundrede men!
The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah: ´´I will drive away people from the Hawdh just as a person drives away unknown camels.´´5
There will be numerous nations on the Day of Judgment and no one knows their number their number except Allah. There will be a great crowd and the matter on the Day will be enormous. The Ummah of Muhammad is one of the relatively least in number on the Day compared to the population of all other nations.
In the court of the Day of Resurrection, the people will be in a dire situation and they will need someone who will intercede on their behalf with our Lord, the Mighty and Exalted. Hence, the messengers, prophets, angels, martyrs and righteous people will be given the privilege of intercession. This will be discussed in detail in the next section.
