The Unfolding of The Scrolls

On the Day of resurrection, every servant will be given his book which contains the record of his deeds which he carried out in the world. It will be said to him.

This Our Record speaks about you with truth. Verily, We were recording what you used to do (i.e. Our Angels used to record your deeds. (Surah Al-Jaathiyah: 29)

What is the scrool?

What will be written in it?

How will the slaves receive it?

Introduction

Each slave will have a scrool in which records of his deeds, both good and bad, are inscribed. This scrool is a book that does not leave out any small or big sin unrecorded. On the Day of resurrection, he will be presented his record to read and be able to see his deeds.

The way records of the slaves will presented to them will vary. The believer will be given his record in his right hand from his front after undergoing an easy reckoning and he will return to his family in joy. As for the people of sin and hypocrisy one them will be given his record on his left hand from his back. At that point some of them will exclaim for destruction.

After the questioning of the servants concerning their deeds, the scrools of their good and bad deeds will be unfolded as Allah says,

And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open. (Surah At-Takwir: 10)

Every individual will be rewarded by deeds which have been recorded for and against him as Allah says,

And We have fastened every man´s deeds to his neck, and on the Day of resurrection, We shal bring out for him a book which he will find wide. It will be said to him): Read your book, You yourself are sufficent as a reckoner against you this Day. (Surah Al-Israai: 13-14)
