Assisting the Oppressors

 The pasture of injustice in noxious and Allah has progiited injustice for Himself and has made it forbidden among His creatures. Dealing unjustly with others is prohibited whether concerning their property, honour, reputation or office. Assisting the oppressors and inclining towards them is equally forbidden. To incline towards them means to aid them and co-operate with them upon sin and disobedience. Allah says:

´´And incline not towards those who do wrong, Lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protectors other than Allah, not you would then be helped.´´ (Hud: 113)

The bottom-line is do not aid the oppressors, do not incline to or rely on them. Do not pride yourself with them or pave the way for them; for if you do that, it will indicate that you are pleased with their actions. And if you are as such, you will be caught in the Fire and will not find anyone to help you against the punishment of Allah.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
