Constant Blaze

 The heat of the Fire will not be cooled and its flame will not be extinguished even with the length of time and passage of days. Allah says:

´´So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no incease shall We give you, except in torment.´´ (An-Naba: 30)

Hellfire will blaze everyday.

Amr ibn ´Abasah as-Sulamee said:

´´Even while in the periode of Jahiliyyah, I used to think that peoplewere upon misguidance and that they were not upon anything (that may be deemed right) with their worship of idols. In the meantime, I heard of a man in Makkah who was giving news (Of divine message); so I sat on my ride and went to him. The Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam was at that time hiding as his people had made life hard for him. I adopted a friendly attitude (towards) the Makkans and thus managed) to enter Makkah till I got to him (the Prophet) and said: ´Who are you?´

He said: ´I am a Prophet (of Allah).´

I again said: ´Who is a Prophet?´

He said: ´I have been sent by Allah.´

I said: ´What is that which you have been sent with?´

He said: ´I have been sent to join the ties of kinship )with kindness and affection), to break the idols, and to proclaim the Oneness of allah; such that nothing is to be associated with Him.´

In the hadith, Amr added: ´Tell me about the prayer. ´The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´Observe the dawn prayer, then stop praying when the sun is rising till it is fully risen, for when it rises it vcomes up betwen the horns of Shaytaan, and the unbelievers prostrate themselves to it at that time. Then pray for the prayer is witnessed and attended (by angels) till the shadow becomes about the length of a spear; then cease prayer, for at that time Hell is heated up. Then when the shadow moves foward, pray, for the prayer is witnessed and attended by angels, till you pray the afternoon prayer, then cease prayer till the sun sets, for it sets between the horns of devil, and at that time the unbelievers prostrate themselves before it.´´111

The Fire will also rage on the Day of Resurrection when its inmates approach it. Allah says:

´´And when Hellfire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze.´´ (at-Takweer: 12)

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
