Dragging in the hellfire

 Among the types of painful punishment is the dragging od the Kuffar on their faces in the Fire. Allah says:

´´Verily, the mujrimun (Polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hellfire in the Hereafter). The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): ´´Taste you the touch of Hell.´´ (Al-Qamar: 47-47)

The pain of being dragged in the Fire is even intensified by the fact that they will be manacled by fetters, chackles and chains. Allah says:

´´Se you not those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessions, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah? How are they turning away (from the truth, i.e. Islamic Monotheism to the falsehood of polytheism)? Those who deny the Book (this Qur´an), and that with Which We sent Our Messengers (i.e. to worship none but Allah alone sincerely, and to rejct all false deities and to confess resurrection after the death for recompense) they will come to know (when they will be cast into Fire of hell). When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along.´´ (Ghaafir: 69-67)

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
