For which the Guilty are Threatened with hellfire

 Allah sent His Messenger as givers of glad tidings and warners. The Messenger does not speak from his own voilition; he only says whatever is revelaed to him. Sins are in grades and classes; some are connected to the rights of allah and some others are connected to the right of Allah´s slaves. Everything is recorded in a book; which does not leave out (any deed) big or small. There are some sins of which the peril and perilous situation of the sinner the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam has declared.

What are these sins?

Who are its perpetrators?

Why are these sons more severe than others?

Introduction

Our Lord, the Mighty and Exalted, knows all that is hidden and concealed. None is more just in ruling or more knowledgeable in setting disputes than Allah. He is most swift in reckoing, the Wisest of judges. Among the sins which are widespread among the people in spite of the cehemence of the threat against committing them, include the following:

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
