Introduction

 Allah distinguishes between the situation of the people of Paradise and the denizent of Hellfire. Allah says:

´´Not equal are the dwellers of Fire and the dwellers of Paradise. It is the dwellers of Paradise that will be successful. (Al-Hashr: 20)

allah created the creatures for His worship på commanded them to obey Him. He promised the believers admittance into al-Jannah and threatened the disbelievers with entrance into the Fire. He sent the noble Messengers as bearers of glad tidings and warners. Allah´s Messenger salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´´My example and the example of the people is that of a man who made a fire, and when it lighted what was around it, moths and other insects started falling into the fire. The man tried (his best) to prevent then, (from falling in the fire) but they overprowered him and rushed into the fire. The Prophet added: Now, similarly, I take hold of the knots a your waist (belts) to prevent you from falling into the Fire, but you insist on falling into it.´´71

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
