Love of Allah and His Messenger

 Love is one of the actions of the heart with which a man draws closer to the Knower of the unseen. A slave becomes truthful to his Lord with his love; in order to see His Majestic Face in His Paradise. Loving Allah and His Messenger impels one to obey Allah and humble oneself to, and love Him; and to follow His Messenger with obedience and love.

a man asked the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam about the Hour (i.e. Day og Judgment) saying:

´´When will the Hour be?´´

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´What have you prepared for it?´´

The man said: ´´Nothing, except that I love Allah and His Messenger.´´

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´You will be with those whom you love.´´

We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet (i.e. ´´You will be with those whom you love.´´) Therefore, I love the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam, Abu Bakr and Umar, and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them, even though my deeds are not similar to theirs.´´77

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
