Number of the Keppers of Hell

 The massiveness, power and ability of the angels to whom Hellfire has been entrusted is immeasurable due to our limited intellect. Their number is nineteen as allah points out:

´´I will cast him into Hellfire. And what will make you know exactly what Hellfire is? It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)! Burning the skins! Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). And We have set none but angels as guardias of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (nineteen) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Qur´an is that truth as it agress with their Books i.e. their number (nineteen) is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith (as this Qur´an is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: ´What does Allah intend by this (curious) example?´ Thus Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind.´´ (Al-Muddaththir: 26-31)

These angels are the keepers of Hellfire. Allah says:

´´And those in the Fire will say to the keepers (angels) of Hell: ´Call upon your Lord to lighten for us the torment for a day.´´´ (Ghaafir: 49)

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
