Sincere Utterance of the two Shahaadahs

 Witnessing that none deserves to be worshipped in truth besides Allah and that Muhammad salla alayhi wa sallam is the Messenger of Allah is a mark of faith and the key to al-Jannah. It is the strong rope of Allah and His straight path. t is the pre-requisite of Islam, the passport to entering the abode of peave, redemption from the Fire and cause of mercy of the beneficent. The Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´´Whoever witnesses that none deserves to be worshipped (in truth) except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, Allah will make the (entering) Fire forbidden for him.´´76

Salvation

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
