Size and Depth of the Fire

 HEllfire is massive in size but stritened for its inmates as it constrivts on all sides. An inmate of Hell will swell so much that his molar tooth will be as huge as Mount Uhud, and the space between his two shoulders will be the distance of three days journey.

What is its size and magnitude?

What is its distance and depth?

Will anyone come out of it after entering it?

Introduction

Allah says:

´´On the Day when We will say to Hell: ´Are you filled? It will say: ´Are there any more (to come)?´´´ (Qaf: 30)

This is Allah´s description of the punishmet of Hellfire and its yearning for the torment of its entrants. Hell is massive and immense in size. The Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´´Hellfire will be brought on that day (the Day of Judgment) with seventy thousand bridles and every bridle will be controlled by seventy thousand angels who will drog it.´´113

Imagine the enormity of this dreadful creature which will require this large number of powerful and mighty angels whose strength is known only to Allah.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
