The Hypocrites and the Bridge

 The followers of the Messengers who were, including sinners and hypocrites will remain standing and the darkness wil envelop them from the direction of the Siraa. A light will be given to them in proportion with his inherent eemann and righteous deeds.

Aisha narreted:

Allah´s Messenger salla alayhi wa sallam was asked where the people will be when Allah will change the Earth into a different earch and he answered: They wil be in darkness before the Bridge.´´59

At this location, the hypocrites will be distingaished from the believers. The believers will overtake them and they will be separated by a great wall; which will prevent the hypocrites from catching up with the believers. This is as Allah says:

´´On the Day of when the hypocrites, men and woemn will say to the believers: ´Wait for us! Let us get something from your light!´ It will be said: ´Go back to your near! Ten seek a light´ Sp a wall be put up between them, with a gate therein; inside it will be mercy, and outside it will be torment.´´ (Al-Hadeed: 13)

The believers who followed the light of the Qur´an and Sunnah will be given light with which they will dispel the darkness of the Day of Resurrection and their feet will be firmly established on the Siraat.

As for the hyoicrutes who turned away from the light of the Book and Sunnah in the world, on the Day of Resurection they will meander in the darkness just as they hindered themselves from the light in the world.

The hypocrites will request the people of eemann to wait for them so that they may seek illumination by their light and it will be said to them: ´Return to your near! Then seek a light´

WHile the believers will proced ahead, the hypocrites will lag behind. When the two groups become distinct from each other, Allah will place a wall between them, with a gate therein; inside it will be mercy, and outside it will be torment. The destination of the believers - male and female - will bE Al-Jannah; while that of the hypocrites - male and female - will be Hellfire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
