The Least Punished of the Inmates of hellfire

 The Prophet salla alyhi wa sallam informed us about the person that will be least punished among the inmates of Hell. He described his situation and explained that despite the fact that he is relatively the least punished, he will consider his punishment the most severs.

The prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´´Verily the least punished from the inhabitants of Hellfire will wear two shoes of Fire on account of which his brain will boil; due to the heat of his shoes.´´118

Al-Abbaas ibn Abdil Mutalib said:

´´O Messenger of Allah! have you benefitted Abu Talib in any way? He used to protect you and get angry for your sake.´´ He (the prophet) said: ´´Yes, he is in the shallow part of Hellfire and if it were not for that he would be in the deepest part of Hellfire.´´119

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
