The Situation of Those whom the Call did not Reach

 The Da´wah (call) did not reach some people and as such, they did not hear about Islam; such as people living in the remote jungles of Africa or the montain crests of the North or South Pole. Some also heard of islam in a distorted manner; such as the message spread by western media or some internet sites. Hence, they understood Islam in a manner different from its true meaning. Some, perhaps, may have been born deaf or they may have some mental issues which 

Prevent them from understanding or perhaps they have become senile due to advancement in age. The following verses of the Qur´an are applicable to all of the foregoing categories of people

´´And if We had destroyed them with a torment before this (i.e. messenger Muhammad salla alayhi wa sallam and the Qur´n), they would surely have said: ´Our Lord! If only You had sent us a messenger, we should certainly have followed Your Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), before we were humiliated and disgraced.´´´ (Taha: 134)

Allah also says:

´´And if (we had) not (sent you to the people of Mekkah) in case a calamity should seize them for (the deeds) that their hands have sent forth, they would have said: ´Our Lord! Why did You not send us a Messenger? We would then have followed Your Ayat (Verses of the Qur´an) and would have been among the believers.´´´ (al-Qasas: 47)

No one will be punished unless and until they have been warned and have ignored the Messengers.

Some of them will be subjected to tests on the Day of Resurrection and whoever obeys will enter Paradise and Allah´s prior knowledge of him will then be manifested. Whoever disobeys will enter the Fire and Allah´s prior knowledge of his wretchedness will then be manifested. This opinion is from the collection of evidences on the matter and Allah know best.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
