They Will Seek Death

 When they give up hope of having their punishment reduced, they will seek death so that they may be relieved! We seek Allah´s refuge; how awful is the aliment in which death is seen as the remedy?! Allah says:

´´And they will cry: ´O Malik (keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make and end of us. He will say: ´Verily you shall abide forever.´´´ (Az-Zukhruf: 77)

Allah also says:

´´Taste you therein its heat, and whether you patient of it or impatient of it, it is all the same. You used to do.´´ (At-Toor: 16)

They will be casted into a narrow place which will permit no movement.

Allah says concerning the hellfire: ´´When it (Hell) sees them from a far place, they will its raging and its roaring. And when they shall be thrown into a narrow place theireof, chained together, they will excalim therein for destruction. Exlain not today for one destruction, but exclaim for many destructions.´´ (Al-Furqaan:12-14)

That is, when they are casted into a narrow place in Hellfire with their hands manacled to their necks with cuffs and fetters, at that point, they will cry for ´ath-thubuur,´ i.e. death so that they may be relieved from the punishemt.

It will be said to them as a form of humilitation and derision: ´ Do not seek only one death, rather seek to die many times,´ you will not find any respite from your situation.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
