Women are the Largest Population of Paradise & Hellfire

 A number of ahadith point to the fact that women will outnumber men in Paradise and in Hellfire.

Why will this be so?

What is the evidence for this?

What is the wisdom in this?

Introduction

Our Lord treats both men and women equally ineverything; except in a few cases that are specific to their mansculine and feminine natures which require differentation.

Instances of congruence between men and women far outnumber instances of differences. Both of them are obliged to offer the five daily prayers, to fast in Ramadan, to undertake the pilgrimage to the Scared House, to pay the Zakah (compulsory charity) on their wealth. Both of them are prohibited from committing zina (adultery), lies and consuming intoxciants.

Allah has promised al-Jannah to believing men just as He has promised it to the believing women.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
