Introduction

 Allah says:

´´And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: ´This is what we were provided with before,´ and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein azzwajun mutahharantun (purified mates or wives), (having no menses, stools, urine, etc.) and they will abide therein forever.´´ (Al-Baqarah: 25)

He also says:

´´Say: ´Shall I inform you of things far better than those? For al-muttaqun (the pious) there are gardens (Paradise) with their Lord, underneath which rivers flow. Therein (Is their) eternal (home) and azzwajun mutahhartun (purified mates or wives) [i.e. they will have no menses, urine, or stool, etc.], And Allah will be pleased with them. And Allah is All-Seer of the (His) slaves.´´ (Aal-Imraan: 15)

They are real rivers that will flow underneath their palaces and between their chambers.

Allah says: ´´By water flowing constantly.´´ i.e. the rivers will flow without furrows or throughs hemming it on either side, rather, they will flow on the earth surface continusly and smothly.
