Pavilions of Paradise

 Since the houses of Paradise vary so shal the delight of their occupants. There are houses of gold, palaces of silver and there will even be pavilions. If you wish, you could stop by one on the bank of the river of honey or by the river of wine along with your family and loved ones.

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´´The believer will have in Paradise a pavilion made of a single hollow pearl sicty miles wide, there will be in it for him, wives whom the believers will visit and enjoy them and they will not see one another.´´204

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´´The pavilion is made of pearl, sixty miles wide, for the believers, in each corner of it there are wives whom besides them no one else will be able to see.´´205

A pavilion is a square building known among the arabs. It is traditionally constructed with fabric and siilar materials. Allah had mentioned the pavilion in the Qur´an:

(hoor (beautiful fair females) guarded in pavilions.´´ (Ar-Rahman: 72)

The pavilion of Paradise is different from that of the world. Every believer will have a pavilion of a single hollowed pearl. The pearl will be massive and of towering height. Its height will be sixty miles high and it has coners not see one another due to the great expanse of the space in the pavilion. And Allah is Able to do all things.

No doubt there will be furnishings, thrones and couches in these chambers and pavilions, so, what will they look like?

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
