The Fruit of Paradise

 Their mouths will taste the deliciousness of the fruit of Paradise and their soul will feel the joy. Allah says:

´´And fryit in plenty, whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off.´´ (Al-Waaqi´ah: 32-33)

These fruits will also be delightful to see and large in size. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam was leading the eclipse prayer and upon completing the prayer, he said: ´´The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah. They exlipse neither because of the death of anyone nor because of his life (i.e. birth). So when you see them, remember Allah.´´ The Companions said: ´´O Allah´s Messenger! We saw you taking something from your place and then we saw you retreating.´´ The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam replied: ´´I saw Paradise and stretched my hands towards a bunch (of its fruits) and had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remains.´´ 215

This fruits of Paradise are low and within reach. Allah says:

´´And the shade thereof is close upon them, and the bunches of fruits thereof will hang low within their reach.´´ (Al-Insaan: 14)

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
