The Slaughtering of Death
Death assails the child and truncates his life. It assails the merchant and prevents him from his merchandise. It assails the sick and relieves him of his illness. Death assails everyone; it does not distinguish between the old and the young or between the rich and the poor. Death is a door through which everyone must enter. Death is not remembered at the time of pleasure except that is reduces it and it is not remembered at the time of comfort except that it tarnishes it. However, in Paradise, there is no death!
Allah´s Messenger salla alayhi wa sallam said:
´´When the poeple of the Fire have entered the Fire and the people of Paradise have entered Paradise, deathw ill be brought forward in the shape of a black and white ram. Then a caller will call: ´O people of Paradise! Thereupon they will stretch their necks and look carefully. The caller will say: ´Do you know this!´ They will say: ´Yes, this is Death.´ By then all of them will have seen it. Then it will be announced again: ´O people of Hell!´ They will stretch their necks and look varefully. The caller will say: ´Do you know this?´ They will say: ´Yes, this is death.´ And by then all of them will have seen it. Then it (that ram) will be slaughtered and the caller will say: ´O people of Paradise! Eternity for you and no death. O people of Hell! Eternity for you and no death!´´´ Then the Prophet recited:
´´And warn them (O Muhammad) of the Day of grief and regrets, when the case has been decided, while (now) they are in a state carelssness, and they believe not.´´ (Maryam: 39)
What enormous difference will there be between the joy, delight, enjoyment and bliss of the people of Paradise and the grief, cry, loss and torment of the people of Hell.
