The Slaughtering of Death

Part of what will increase the inclination of the people of Paradise for Paradise and its enjoyment and delight is that Allah will let them abide therein forever; they will not die, grow old or become extinct. They will not fall ill or grieve.

How will they abide therein forever?

What will become of death?

Introduction

One of the things that spoil the comfort of a slave and reduce its enjoyment is his thought at one time or the other that the comfort will depart and cease from him. This is the situation of the comfort of the world, however great and good, it will cease and depart.

As for the comfort of the Hereafter, it is permanent. Allah says:

´´Say; ´Shall I inform you of things far better than those? For al-muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2) there are Gardens (Paradise) with their Lord, underneath which rivers flow. Therein (is their) etermal (home) and azwajun mutahharantun (purified mates or wives) [i.e. they will have no menses, urine, or stool, etc.], And Allah will be pleased with them. And Allah is All-Seer of the (His) slaves.´´ (Aal-Imran:15)
