A Nullifier of Allegiance

 COvenant, promise, agreement, pact and alligance to rules upon obedience are important issues, and toying with these matters or being deceitful regarding such things is extremely dangerous and acutely harmful. Regarding all of these three, the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said,

There will be three types of people whom Allah will neither speak to them on the Day of Resurrection nor will Allah purify them from their sins, and they will have a painful punishment. They are, (1) a man who possessed superflous water (more than he needs) on a way and he witholds it from the travelers. )2) a man who gives a pledge of allegiance to an Imam (ruler) and gives it onlu for worldly nemefits, if the Imam gives him what he wants, he abides by his pledge, otherwise he does not fulfill his pledge; )3) and a man who sells something to another man after the ´Ars prayer and swears by Allah (a false oath) that he has been offered so much for it whereupon the buyer believes him and buys it although in fact, the seller has not been offered such a price.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
