The Intensituy of Peoples Terror

 The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam described peoples situation when he said, On the Day of Resurrection, the sun will drew so close to the people that there will be left only a distance of one mile. People will be submerged in perspiration according to their deeds, some up to their heel, some up to their knows, some up to their wist and some would have the bridle of perspiration.

He also said, The people will perspire so profusely on the Day of Resurrection that their sweat will sink seventy cubits deep into the earth, and it will rise up till it reaches the peoples mouths and ears.

He also said, Each one of them would stand submerged into perspiration up up to hals of his ears.

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam also said, On the Day of Resurrection, the sun would drew so close to the people that there would be left only a distance of one or two miles. The sun will melt them.

The Situation of the believers on That day

Due to the intensity of the terror and tumult at the gathering, people one another. How, the believers will be in a different situation. The noble Angels will mett them assuaging their fears and calming their souls. This is as Allah says,

The greatest terror (on the Day of Resurrection) will not grieve them, and the angels will mett them, (With the greeting): This is your Day which you were promise. (Surah Al-Anbiyaa: 103)

This is because their hearts were gripped by fear and awe of their Lord in the worlds preparation for the standing in His presence.

This is as Allah says,

Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful. (Surah Al-Insaan: 10)

He also says,

Amd those who fear the torment of their Lord, verily! The torment of their Lord is that before which none can feel secure. (Surah Al-Marija: 27-28)

He says,

So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty and joy.. (Surah Al-Insaan: 11)

The Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said,

Allah says By My Honour, I will not combine for My serrant two securities and two fear. If he felt secured against Me (i.e. punishment)

in the world, I will terrify him on the Day I will assenble My slaves. If he feared Me in the world, I will make him (feel) secured on the day in which I will assemble My slaves.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
