The People of the Quran

 The Quran is honour in the world and salavation in the hereafter. Whoever preoccupies his night and day with the memorization of and reflection on the Quran is not equal with the lazy and neglectful.

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam praised the reciter of Surah al-Baqarah and Aal-Imraan and said that they will rescue their reciter on the Day of Resurrection and will make it easy on him.

He siad,

Recite the Quran, for on the Day og Resurrection it will come as an interessor for those who recite it. Recite the two bright ones, Surah al-Baqarah and Surah al-Imraan, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds and two shades, or two flocks of Birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqarah, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannor confront it.

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said, the Reciter of the Quran will be brogght on the Day of Qiyaamah and the Quran would say, O lord, enrobe him, and he will be dressed in a robe of honour. Then it will say, O Lord Increase it for him. So, he will be given to wear a crown of honour. Then the Quran will say again, O Lord! Be please with him, and he will be pleased with.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
