Chapter. Whoever possesses three (qualities) will taste the sweetness of Faith

 22. Anas narrated that the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the sweetness of Faith:

(1) Whom Allah and His Messenger become dearer than anything else.

(2) Who Loves a person and he loves him only for Allah´s sake.

(3) Who hates to convert to disbeliev (atheism) so much so after Allah has brought (saved) him our of it (infidelit), as he hates to be thrown in the Fire.´´

23. Anas narrated that the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´None of you will have Faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.´´

24. Anas narrated that the Prophet sala alayhi wa sallam said: ´´By Him in Whose Hand is my life, none of you will have Faith till he likes for his neighbour (or the narrator said: his brother) what he likes for himself.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
