The supplication of the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam for his Ummah

 ´Abullah bin Amr bin Al-´As narrated that the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam recited the Words of Allah that Ibrahim uttered: ´´O my Rubb! They have indeed led astray many of mankind. Therefore, whoso follows me he is from me. And whoso disobeys me´´ (14:36). And ´Isa said: ´´If You forgive them, verily You, are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.´´

(5:118).

Then be raised his bands and said:

´´O Allah my Ummah, O Allah my Ummah,´´ and wept. Allah said: ´´O Jibril, go to Muhammad (and your Rubb knows better) ans ask him: ´Why are you crying?´´´ So Jibril came to him and asked him, and the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam informed him of what he had said (though He knows better). Upon this Allah said. ´´O Jibril, go to Muhammad and say: ´Verily, We shall please you with regard to your Ummah, and shall not displease you.´´´

Jabir narrated that Tufail bin ´Amr Ad-Dausi came to the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam and said: ´´O Messenger of Allah! Do you need strong fortified protection?´´ The tribe of Daus had a fort in the pre-Islamic days. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam declined this offer since it (the privilege of protecting the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam) had already been reserved for the Ansar. When the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam migrated to Al-Madinah, Tufail bin ´Amr also migrated to him along with a man from his tribe. But the climate of Al-Madinah did not suit the man, and he fell sick. 

He got desparied of recovery, and cut his finger-joints. He bled to death. Tufail bin ´Amr saw him in dream in a nice shape, and he saw him covering his hands. He (Tufail) asked him, ´´What did your Rubb do to you?´´ He replied: ´´Allah has forives me on account of my migration to the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam.´´

He asked him: ´´why are you covering your hands?´´ He replied: ´´I was told (by Allah): ´We will not repair what you damaged of your bodu.´´´ Tufail reported this (dream) to the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam who supplicated: ´´O Allah! Forgive his hands too.´´

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
