To use Siwak just before performing wudu´

 Ibn Abbas narrated that he spent a night with the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam. when the Prophet of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam got up (for prayer) in the latter part of the night. He went out and looked at the sky and then recited these Verses: ´´Verily in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day,´´ up to (the words) ´´Save us from the torment of Hell.´´ (3_190, 191) He then returned his house, used Siwak (toothstick), performed Wudu´ and then he stood and performed prayer, He then lay down. Then he got up (again), went out, looked at the sky, recited the Verses (mentioned above), then returned, used the Siwak, performed Wudu´ and again performed prayer.

Aishah narrated that whenever the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam entered the house, he would use Siwak.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
