Concerning ´Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim´

 280. Anas narrated: While the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam was sitting with us, he dozed off. He then raised his head smilingly. We said: ´´What makes you smile, O Messenger of Allah?´´ He said: A Surah has just been revealed to me,´´ and then recited: ´´In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Verily, We have given you Al Kauthar (a river in Jannah). Therefore, turn to your Rubb in prayer and offer sacrifice, and surely your enemy is cut off (from the good).´´ Then he said: ´´Do you know what Al Kauthar is?´´ We said: ´´Allah and His Messenger know best.´´ The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´It is a river which my Rubb, the Exalted and Glorious, has promised me; and there is an abundance of good in it. It is a cistern and my people will come to it on the Day og Resurrection, and its cups are as many as the  number of stars. Some slaves would be turned away from it. Upon this I would say: ´My Rubb,  he is one of my people.´ And he (the Rubb) would say: ´You do not know what they innovated after you.´´´
