Surah Al-Tawbah 1

Response to these arguments:

If they meant that paradise has not yet been created at all and that it is absolutely inexistent in the present, then their claim is false; for facts from the Qur´an and the Sunnah repudiate it. Such a claim also contradicts what is known in religion by necessity. If they meant that Paradise had not been completely created then this is an incontestable truth. As for the proofs they mention, what those proofs indicate is that the land of Paradise has already been created and that is presently exists. As for remembrance of Allah mentioned in the Hadith, Allah will created a plant in the land of Paradise. The same applies for building of houses for those who perform the righteous deeds mentioned in the Hadiths. The more a servant performs righteous deeds, the more Allah expands for him his place in Paradise. (1) Qadi Mundhir ibn Sa´eed said: ´´the Paradise in which Adam lived was not the eternal Paradise. He supported this view with the following arguments: One: Had it been the everl...

Whoever prostrate himself for Allah, will have Jannah

 369. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam said, ´´When a son of Adam recites (the Verses of) prostration and prostrates himself, the devil withdraws weeping and says, ´Woe to him! (and in the narration of Abu Kuraib: Woe to me!). Son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrates himself; so Jannah is for him. And I was commanded to prostrate (but) I refused (so) Hell is for me.´´

Salat-ul-Awwabin

 368. Al-Qasim Ash-Shaibani reported that Zaid bin Arqam saw some people praying the Duha (forenoon) prayer. He said: ´´They know that Salat (prayer) at pther time than this is better, for the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam said: Salat-ul-Awwabin is performed when weaned camels feel the heat of the sun.´´

Recommending Duha (forenoon) prayer

 367. Abu Hurairah narrated: My friend (the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam) recommended me to do three things: (1) to observe fast of three days every month, (2) two Rak´ah of the Duha prayer, (3) and to perform Witr prayer before going to bed.

The Duha (forenoon) prayers is eight Rak´at

 366. ´Abdullah bin Harith bin Naufal said: I asked, as I was keen to find someone who would tell me, whether the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam performed the Duha (forenoon) prayer, but I found none except Umm Hani, daughter of Abu Talib (the real sister of ´Ali, who told me: ´´On the day of the Conquest (of Makkah) the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam came (to our house) in the morning. A cloth was brought and privacy was brought to screen him and he took a bath and then stood up and performed eight Rak´at. I do not know whether his Qiyam (standing poasture) was longer, or Ruku (bowing posture) or Sujud (prostrations) or all of them were of equal length.´´ She further said: ´´I never saw him performing this Nafl prayer before nor after.´´

Duha prayer os four Rak´at

 365. ´Aishah narrated: The Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam used to pray four Rak´at in the Duha (foreniin) prayer and he sometimes prayed more as Allah willed.

The Duha (forenoon) prayer is two Rak´ah

 364. Abu Dhar narrated that the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Every morning charity becomes due on every joint of every one of you. But saying Suhan Allah is an act of charity; and saying Alhamdulillah is an act of charity, and saying Allahu Akbar is an act of charity, enjoining what is good is an act of charity; and forbidding what is evil is an act of harity; and performing two Rak´ah which one prays in the Duha makes satisfaction for the above.´´

Concerning Duha (forenoon) prayer

 363. ´Aishah narrated: I have never seen the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam perform the supererogatory prayer of Duha (forenoon prayer) but I liked it. And if the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam would abandon an act which he in fact loved to do, it was but for the fear that if the people pratised it constantly, it might be made obligatory on them.

Sitting at the place of Salat (prayer) after the Fajr prayer

 362. Simak bin Harb reported: I said to Jabir bin Samurah: ´´Did you sit in the company of the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam?´´ He said: ´´Yes, very often. He (the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to sit at the place where he performed the morning or dawn prayer until the sun rose. When it had risen, he would stand, and they (his Companions) would talk about matters (pertaining to the days) of ignorance; and they would laugh (on these matters) while (the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam) would only smile.´´

To lie down after two Rak´ah (Sunnah) of the Fajr prayer

 361. ´Aishah narrated: When the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam had prayed the two Rak´ah (Sunnah) of the Fajr prayer, he would talk to me if I was awake, otherwise he would lie down.

Recitation in the two Rak´ah of the Fajr prayer

 360. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam recited Al-Kafirun (Surah 109) and Al-Ikhlas (Surah 112) in the two Rak´ah of Fajr prayer.

Excellence of the two Rak´ah (sunnah) of the Fajr prayer

 359. ´Aishah narrated that the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ´´The two Rak´ah (Sunnah of Fajr prayers) are better than this world and what it contains.´´

The two Rak´ah (sunnah) of Fajr prayer

 358. Hafsah narrated: When it was dawn, the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam did not perform (any other prayers) but two short rak´ah.

Recitation of Qunut in Maghrib (evening) prayer

 357. Al-Bara´ bin´ Azib narrated that the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam recited Qunut in Dawn and Maghrib prayers.

Reciting Qunut in the Zuhr (noon) and other prayers

 356. Abu Hurairah said: ´´By Allah, I will perform for you prayer similar to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam,´´ and Abu Hurairah recited Qunut in the Zuhr and ´Isha´ and in the morning prayer and supplicated for the believers and cursed the infidels.

Reciting Qunut (invocation) in the Fajr prayer

 355. Abu Hurirah narrated that whenever the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam raised his head from Ruku and pronounced Allahu Akbar (for bowing) (saying): ´´Sami´ hamd (Allah listened to him who praised Him. Our Rubb! to You is all praise),´´ he would then stand up and say: ´´O Allah! rescue Al-Walid bin Al-Walid, Salamah bin Hisham, and ´Aiyash bin Abu Rabi´ah, and the weak and helpless among the believers. O Allah! make it severe for the tribe of Mudar and let them suffer a famine like that which took place at the time of Yusuf. O Allah! curse Lihyan, Ri´l, Dhakwan, ´Usaiyah, who disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.´´ (The narrator then added): Then news reached us that he abandoned (this) when this Verse was revealed: ´´(Not for you O Muhammad sallahu alayhi wa sallam) is the decision whether He (Allah) turns to them (mercifully) or punishes them; surely they are wrongdoers.´´ (3:128)

Prostration while reciting the Qur´an

 353. Ibn Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam when recited the Qur´an and recited a Surah contining Sajdah, he prostrated himself and we also prostrated ourselves along with him (but we were so overcrowded) that some of us could not find a place for our forehead (for prostration). 354. Abu Rafi´ said: I prayed ´Isha (night) prayer along with Abu Hurairah and as he recited: ´´When the heaven burst asunder,´´ (84:1) (a Surah containing prostration) he prostrated. I said to him: ´´What is this prostration?´´ He said: ´´I prostrated myself (when I prayed) behind Abul-Qasim (Muhammad) sallahu alayhi wa sallam, and I will go on doing this (every time I read it) until I meet him(in the next world).´´

Forgetfulness in prayer and the command to prostrate in the prayer

 351. Abu Sa´id Al-Khudri narrated that the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ´´When one of you is in doubt about his Salat (prayer) and he does not know how many he has prayed, three or four (Rak´at), he should cast aside his doubt and base his prayer on what he is sure of; then perform two prostrations before Taslim (salutations). If he has prayed five Rak´at, they will make his prayer an even number for him, and if he has prayed exactly four, the two prostrations will be humiliation for the devil. 352. Abu Hurairah narrated: The Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam led us in one of the two evening prayers- Zuhr or ´Ars, and said Taslim (salutations) after two ak´ah, then he went to a piece of trunk, which was placed in the Qiblah in the mosque. He leaned on it looking as if he were angry. Abu Bakr and ´Umar were among the people and they were too afriad to speak to him, and the hasty people rushed out (saying): ´´The prayer has been shortened.´´ But among ...
