Intercession

 Ash-Shafaa´ah (intercession) is one of the major events of immense mitigating and facilitating influence on the Day og Resurrection. Slaves will request from the leaders of the pious, and each messenger and Prophet will excuse himself. Then Allah will grant our Prophet the Station of Praise and Glory 

(Maqaam al-Mahmud).

What is intercession?

What are its conditions?

How many are its types?

Is it a special privilege for our Prophet or do other Prophets also have their own?

Will the privilege also be granted to other than the Prophets?

Introduction

When all of the creatures are gatheredtogether on the Day of resurrection, their standing will be long, and their fright will intensify, the eyes of the negligent will shed tears, the hopes of the losers will be dashed, the noble messengers will be gripped by fear, the mighty angels will tremble, the souls will choke the throats and every disbeliever and sinner shall be frustrated.

At this point, the people will search for someone who would intercede on their behalf with the Creat King to commence their accounting and open their records. After a long search, waiting and going around selected messengers, the leader of the mankind will rise to intercede. With the Station of Praise hoisted high, he will prostrate in the presence of his Lord in supplication; beseeching and hopful. allah wil accept his intercession and then other intercessions will be permitted; some will be delivered from Hell and brought back to Paradise by it and some believers´ status will be raised in Paradise by it; and there wil be other kinds of intercessions.

This is as Allah´s Mesenger salla alayhi wa sallam said:

I have been given five things which were not given to anyone else before me. Allah made me victorious by awe (by His frigtening my enemies) from a distanve of one month´s journey. The booty has been made halal (lawful) for me yet it was not lawful for anyone else before me. The earth has been made for me a place for praying and a thing to perform tayammum; therefore anyone of my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due. I have been given the privilege of intercession (on the Day of resurrection). Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation only but I have been sent to all mankind

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
