The Fourth Intercession
From Allah´s grace and benevolence to His believing slaves is that He deals with them with His pardon and forbearance over and above His anger and punishment. From Allah´s mercy to the creation is that He will permit our Prophet Muhammad salla alayhi wa sallam to intercede on behalf of sinners among the believers and Unitarians who died while they werre insistent upon sin and they were weel aware of its prohibition.
The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam also informed us that he will intercede on their behalf too as he said in the hadith of intercession:
´´Then I will proced and I will ask my Lord´s permission, and when I se Him, I will fall down in prostration to Him, and He will leave me in that state as long as (He) Alah wils, and then I will be addressed: ´Rise, O Muhammad! And say, your saying will be listened to; ask, and your request will be granted; intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.´ Then I will glorify and praise my Lord with (words of) priase which He will teach me, and then I will intercede. Allah will fx a limit for me (i.e. concerning the type of people on behalf of whom I may intercede), and I will take then (our of Hellfire) to al-Jannah.
Then I will come back (to Allah) and whne I se my Lord I will fall down in prostration, and He will leave me in that state as long as He (Allah) wills, and then I will be addressed: ´Rise, O Muhammad! And say, your saying will be listerned to; ask, and your request will be granted; intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.´ Then I will glorify and praise my Lord with (words of) praise which He will teach me, and then I will intercede. Allah will fx a limit for me (i.e. concerning the type of people of behalf of whom I may intercede), and I will take them (out of Hellfire) to al-jannah.
Then I will come back to (Allah) and when I see my Lord I will fall down in prostration, and He will leave me in that state as long as He (Allah) wills, and then I will be addressed: `Rise O Muhammad! And say, your saying wil be listened to; ask, and your request will be granted; intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.´ Then I will glorify and praise my Lord with (words of) praise which He will teach me, and then I will intercede. Allah will fx a limit for me (i.e. concerning the type of people
On behalf of whom I may interceded), and I will take them (out of Hellfire) to al-Jannah.
Then I will return (to allah) and I will say: ´O my Lord! None remains in Hell (Fire) but those whom the Qur´an has imprisoned therein and for whom eternity in Hell (Fire) has become inevitable. ´´´
The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam added:
´´Everyone who said ´Laa ilaaha illAlah and there is in hid heart goodness equal to the weight of a grain of barley will come out of the Hellfire. Then everyone who said ´laa ilaaha illAllah and there is in his heart goodness equal to the wirht of a grain og wheat will come out of the hellfire. Thereafter, the one who said ´Laa ilaaha illAllah and there in in his heart goodness equal to the weight of an atom will come out of the hellfire.´´22
The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam also said: ´´My intercession is for those huilty of major sins from my Ummah.´´23
In yet another narration, the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said:
´´It will be said (to me): ´Go, and bring forth from it (Hell) him who has in his heart faith equal to the weight of wheat grain or a grain of barley, I will go and do that. Then I will return to my Lord and extol Him with those praises (taught to me by Allah), then I will fall in prostration.
It will be said to me: ´O Muhammad, raise your head, and say it will be heard; ask and it will be granted; intercede and your intercession will be accepted. So I will say: ´My people! My people!´ It will be said to me: ´Go and take out from it (Hell) him who has in his heart faith equal to the weight of a mustard seed.´ I will go and do that.
It is recorded in the last part of the hadith, the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´I would say: ´O my Lord, permit me regarding the one who professed ´Laa ilaaha illAllah.´
He (the Lord) will say: That is not for you or that is not your prerogative, but My Honour, Glory, Greatness and Might, I will certainly take out (of Hell) anyone who professed ´Laa ilaaha illAllah.´ 24
