The Kuffar Are Dissimilar in Their Disbelief, Sins and Wrongdoings.

 Hence, calling them to account would clarify the levels and intensity of the punishment they deserve; not for the purpose of them entering Paradise. This is as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam pointed out in the case of his uncle Abu Talib who died as a disbeliever. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam described to us his condition in the Hereafter when al-Abbaas Ibn Abdul Muttalib asked him, ´´O Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam! have you benefitted Abu Talib in any way? he used to protect you and get angry for your sake.´´ He (The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam= said, ´´Yes, he in in the shallow part of Hellfire and if it were not for me he would be in the depest part of Hellfire.´´200

Hence, Abu Talib´s punishment in the Fire is milder compared to Abu Lahab´s
