The Location of the Hawdh and its Order in the Series of Events in the Hereafter

 After the people have been gathered on the plain of Judgment, on the Day of Resurrection, their fright will intensify and so will their thirst. They will then crave to visit the Hawdh in order to drink from it.

Will the believer drink from the (water of the) Hawdh before traversing the bridge (of as-Siraat) or will they drink after it?

There is a difference among the scholars concerning its timing but the more correct view is that it will occur before the crossing over the Brige. This is because after the apostates, unbelievers and hypocrites have been turned away from the Hawdh, they will proceed to join other people to cross the Bridge and they will not be able to cross it and will fall into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
