The Second Intercession

 This will occur after the people deserving al-Jannah have been ordered to proceed to it. They will seek someone would intercede on their behalf to be admitted into al-Jannah. the believers will approach Aadam and say (to him): ´O our father, request that al-Jannah be opened for us´ as Allah´s Messenger sala alayhi wa sallam mentioned in the following hadith.

állah, the Blessed and Exalted, will gather the people. The believers will stand till al-Jannah will be brought near them. They will approach Aadam alayhi sallam and say: ´O out father, request that al-Jannah be opened for us.´

He will say:´did anything turn you out of al-Jannah other tahn the sin of your father Aadam? I am not in a position to do that; go to my son Ibraheem alayhi sallam, the Friend of Allah.´

)when they approach Ibraheem) He will say: ´I am not in a position to do that. Verily I had been the Friend (of allah) from beyond, beyond;17 approach Musa alayhi sallam with whom Allah spoke directly. They will opproach Musa who will say: ´I am not in a position to do that; you beter to go Eesaa alayhi sallam, the Word of allah and His Spirit.´

Eesaa alayhi wa sallam will say: ´I am not in a position to do that. ´So they will go to Muhammad salla alayhi wa sallam. He will rise and then he will be permitted (to open the door of Paradise). ´´18

Hence, our Prophet Muhammad salla alayhi wa sallam will intercede concerning the opening of the gate of al-Jannah and admittance into it, and it is also part of the station of Praise and Glory (Maqaam al-Mahmud). This intercession is specific to Prophet Muhammad salla alayhi wa sallam to the preclusion of others. The evidence that indicates this is the hadith of Ibn umar in which he said:´´ ...then be would walk till he holds the ring of the gate...´´19

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´I will come to the gate of al-Jannah on the Day of resurrection and seek its opening and the keeper will say: ´Whoare you?´

He will say: ´(I am) Muhammad.´

He will say: ´I have been ordered not to open for anyone betfore you.´20

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
