The Third Intercession
This is specifically for the believers who will neither undergo accounting or punishment. Our Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam will intercede for them with allah the Exalted to permit them to enter al-Jannah. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said:
´´I wil be the leader of all the people on the Day of resurrection. Do you know the reason for it? Allah will gather all the human beings of early generations as well as later genertions on one plain so that they will be made to hear the announcer and all of them will be within the sight. The sun will come so close to the people that they will suffer such distres and trouble as they will not be able to bear or withstand.´´
Then the Prophet sala alayhi wa sallam said at the end of the hadith:
´´Then it will be said: ´O Muhammad, raise your head. Ask, and it will be granted. Intercede, it will be accepted.´
So I will raise my head and say: ´My followers, O my Lord! My followers, O my Lord!!´
It will be said: ´O Muhammad! Let those of your followers who have no acounts enter through the gate on the right hand from the gate of Paradise; and they will share the other gates with the people. By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, the distance between two gate-posts of Paradise is like the distance between Makkah and Basrah.´21
This intercession is also part of the Maqam al-Muhmud with which Allah has distinguished Prophet Muhammad salla alayhi wa sallam.
