Introduction
Shaytaan´s name is repeated in the Qur´an 88 times to demonstrate the danger he poses, to declare his enmity, to warn his followers, to expose his scheming and to thwart his plans.
On the Day of Resurrection, Shaytaan will be thrown into the worst of abodes. Allah has informed us of his deception and commanded us take him as enemy. He says:
´´Surely, Shaytaan (Satan) in an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.´´ (Faatir: 6)
Even the Prophets advised their children concerning him. Prophet Ya´qub advised his son Yusuf when he said:
´´Verily! Shaytaan (Satan) is to man an open enemy.´´ (Yusuf: 5)
