Introduction

Whoever enter Paradise will forget the world and all that it contains. The Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´´One amongst the denizens of Hell who had led a life of ease and plenty amongst the people of the world will be made to dip in Fire only once on the Day of Resurrection and then it will be said to him: ´O son of Aadam, did you find any comfort, did you happen to get any material blessing?´

He will say: ´By Allah, no, my Lord,´ And then that person from amongst the persons of the world will be brought who had led the most miserable life (in the world) from amongst the dwellers of Paradise; and he will be made to dip once in Paradise and it will be said to him. ´O son of Aadam, did you face any hardship? Or had you suffered anu distress?´ And he will say: ´By Allah, no, O my Lord, never did I face anu hardship or experience any distress.´´´152

The Companions used to yearn for Paradise and imagine what their situation would be when they enter it. A man had asked Allah´s Messenger salla alayhi wa sallam saying:

´´O Messenger of Allah, will there be horses in Paradise?´´

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam replied: ´´If allah admits you into Paradise, you will not desire that you be carried on a horse of red rubies, flying with you wherever you wish in Paradise except that you will do it.´´

Another man asked him: ´´O Messenger of Allah, will there be camels?´´

But he did not say what he said to his partner, rather, he said: ´´If allah admits you into Paradise, there will be for you therein what will satisfy the soul and delight your eyes.´´152

On another day, a Bedouin Arab came to the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam and said:

´´O Messenger of Allah, I love horses; will there be horses in Paradise?´´

Allah´s Messenger salla alayhi wa sallam responded saying:

´´If you are admitted into Paradise, you will be given a horse of rubies, having two wings and you will be carried on it and then it will fly with you wherever you wish.´´154
