Shaytaan´s Address

After the command (of Allah) has been executed and the world has come to an end, the meezan has been set, the scroll has been laid spread, the people of the right have received their record of deeds on the right hand and the people of the left have received theirs on their left hand, Allah will descend to deliver judgment and He will reward everyone according to what is in his record. Hence, everyone will be held in pledge for what he has earned. The people of Paradise will have entered Paradise and the people of Hell will have entered Hell. Shaytaan will rise to give a final adress after which there will be no other one. What will he say?

Allah explains that in the following verse of the Qur´an:

´´And Shaytaan (Satan) will say when the matter has been decided: ´Verily, allah promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised you, but I betrayed you. I had not authority over you except that i called you. So you responded to me. So blame me not, but blamde yourselves. I cannot helt you, nor can you help me. I deny your former act in associating me (Satan) as a partner with Allah (by obeying me in the left of the world). Verily, there is a painful torment for the zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.).´´´ )Ibraheem: 22)

Yes, he will say to his followers: ´´So blame me not.´´ This is surprising; who then should they blame?! Who invited them to fornication and deceived them to spill blood? Who embellished haram for them and aroused in them the urge for sin? He provides the answer: ´´Blame yourselves.´´

Then the last scene of this hopless address will take place. It is a scene that will increase the sorrow and pain of the dwellers of Hellfire. It is a scene wherein he will disown his followers. Shaytaan will say to them:

´´I deny your former act in associating me (Shaytaan) as a parther with Allah (by obeying me in the left of the world).´´ i.e. ´I disown your obedience to me and nothing will save you but your righteous deeds.´ Then, he will inform them of the consequence of that saying: ´Verily, there is a painful torment for the zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.)-´´

This will bring the address to and end and that will be the situation of the head of all disbelievers and commander of the criminals.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
