The Book of Iamn (Faith)

 (2) Chapter. I have been commanded to fight against the people till they say: ´´La ilaha illallah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)´´

4. abu Hurairah narrated: When Allah´s Messenger died and Abu Bakr became the caliph after him, some Arabs renegaded (reverted to disbelief) (and Abu Bakr decided to declare war against them). ´Umar bin Al-Kattab said to Abu Bakr, ´´How can you fight with these people althoug Allah´s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, ´I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight the people till they say: La ilaha illallah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), and whoever said: La ilaha illallah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), then he had rescued his life and property from me except on trespassing the law (rights and conditions for which he will be punished justly), and his accounts will be with Allah,´´ Abu bakr said, ´´By Allah! I will fight those who differentiate between Salat and Zakat, as Zakat is the compulsory right to be taken from the property (according to Allah´s Orders). By Allah! If they refuse to pay me even a rope that fetters the legs of a camel hobbing it, which they used to pay at the time of Allah´s Messenger (peace be upon him), I would fight with them for withholding it.´´ Then ´Umar said, ´´By Allah, it was nothing, but Allah opened Abu Bakr´s chest towards the (decision to) fight and then only I realized that his decision was right.´´

5. abdullah bin Umar, narrated that the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´i have been ordered (by allah) to fight against the people till they testify that La ilaha illallah, wa anna Muhammad-ur-Rasylullah (none has the right to be worshipped but allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah), and iqamat-as-Salat (offer the prayers perfectly) and give Zakat(1), so if they perform all that, then they saved their lives and properties from me except for islamic laws, and then their reckoning (accounts) will be with Allah.´´

 None will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except he who used to worship alah alone with Whom there is no associate. As for the other gods, they will lead their adherents into the Fire.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
