The Poor Emigrants will Precede Others to Paradise

 The Ummah of Islam will precede other nation in; being resurrected from the soil, precede them at the upper part of the plain of judgment, precede them under the shade of the Throne, precede them in receiving judgment, precede them in crossing the Bridge and precede them in entering Paradise. The best of this Ummah are the Companions of Allah´s Messenger salla alayhi wa sallam and the more excellent of them are the emigrants who sacrificed their wealth and lives, departed from their families and land in the aid of the religion and the worship of the Lord of the world.

Allah says:

´´Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and emigrated and strove hard and fought in Allah´s Cause with their wealth and their lives are far higher in degree with Allah. They are the successful. Their Lord gives them glad tidings of a Mercy from Him, and that He is pleased (with them), and of Gardens (Paradise) for them wherein are everlasting delights. They will dwell therein forever. Verily, with Allah is a great reward.´´ (At-Taubah: 20-22)

Allah says:

´´Those who emigrated in the Cause of Allah and after that were killed or died, surely, Allah will provide a good provision for them. And verily, it is Allah Who indeed is the best of those who make provision. Truly, He will make them enter an entrance withwhich they shall be well-pleased, and verily, Allah indeed is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.´´ (Al-Hajj: 58-59)

The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said:

´´Do you know who will be first to enter Paradise from Allah´s creatures?´´

The people said: ´Allah and His Messenger know best.´

Then he said: ´´The first of Allah´s creatures that will enter Paradise are the poor emigrants with whom the broders (of Islam) were blocked and the hateful were prevented. One of them would die while his needs remained in his heart, unable to fulfil it. Allah will say to whomever He will among His angels: ´Greet them´ and they will do so. Then the angels will say: ´Our Lord, we are the dwellers of Your heavens and the preferred among Your creatues, do You order us to go to these people and greet them!´ He (Allah) will say: ´They are slaves who worship Me without associating any partner with Me and with them, broders were blocked and the hateful were prevented and one of them would die while his needs remained in his heart, unable to fulfil it.´ At that point, the angels will opproach from every gate (saying):

´´Salamun ´alaikum (peace be upin you) for that you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home.´´ (Ar-Ra´d: 24)

These are the first set of people that will enter Paradise.

Voluntary Fasting

 Fasting is one of the major acts of worship with which Allah redeems the fasting person from the Fire. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Fasting is a shield against the Fire (of Hell) just like the shield one of you would use during fighting.´´80 The supererogatory fasting has its virtue. The Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´He who observes fast for a day in the path of Allah, He will remove his face from the Hell due to (the fast of) that day to the extent of seventy years.´ distance.´´81 The phrase ´in the path of Allah´ could either mean fasting a day sincerely, intending the pleasure of Allah; or fasting in the course of a military expedition in the path of Allah.

Backbiter and Tale-Bearer

 A backbiter is the individual who indugles in backiting which involves mentioning about your brother that which he would detest. The tale-bearer is the person who varries bad tale among the people in order to cause disaffection among them. These sins cause pervading tribulations, and enormous corruption also stems from them. Their perpetrators are among the worst of people and due to their capricious tongue, they speak as dictated by their whims and desires.  Their situation at the time of resurrection will be appalling as the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam mentioned, Whoever eats the flesh of his brother in the world (i.e. bacjbites), he will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him, Eat his dead as you have eaten him alive. He would eat him and he would scowl and scream.
