Introduction

 Allah describes the women of Paradise among the Hoor al-´Ayn and their beauty, external and internal charm with different attributes. These is none of these beautiful attributes with which the Hoor al-´Ayn are described but that the believing women will be more beautiful and charming.

Allah will not treat them equally with the believing women who exhausted themselves in the world, offered salaah, devoted themselves, avoided the prohibited, fasted during the day and wept in the early hours of the morning. Hence, Allah will not make them equal in beauty, charm and honour even though a Hooriyyah was created for Paradise and was not encumbered with worship prior to that.

Each of the following attributes of the Hoor al-´Ayn serves to inform us that the believing women will be more beautiful and prettier. Umm Salamah, the wife of the prophet salla alayhi wa sallam narrated:

O Messenger of 

Allah, who will be superior; the women of the world or the Hoor al-´Ayn?´´ He said: ´´The women of the world will be superior to the Hoor al-´Ayn like the superiority of the overcoat over the underwear.´´ She said: ´´Why wil that be, O Messenger of Allah?´´ He said:

´´Due to their prayer and fasting for allah. Allah will adorn their faces with light, their bodies with silk, their colours will be white, their dress will be of green colour, their braceelets will be yellow, their mahaamir will be pearls, and their combs will be gold. They will say: ´We are immortal so we will not die. We are in perpetual comfort and we will never be miserable. We will live (in Paradise) eternally and we will never leave it. We are perpetually pleased and we will never be angry. Glad tiding to the one to whom we belong and who alos belongs to us.´´´249

Believing women in the world to increase in righteous actions and persistence upon goodness and worship in quest of what is with Allah.
