Regarding the Words of Allah: ´´They ask you concerning menstruation´´

 171. Anas bin Malik, narrated: When a woman menstruated, the Jews did not dine with her, nor did they conhabit with her. So the Companions of the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam asked him about menstruation and Allah revealed: ´´They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: that is harmful (thing for a busband to have a sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses). therefore keep away from woemn during menses and go not unto them until the have purified (from menses and have take a bath). And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah has ordained for you. Trly, Allah loves those who repent to Him and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroghly their private parts and bodies for their prayers, etc.)´´ (2:222) The Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Do everything except interocourse.´´ They Hews head of that and said: ´´This man does not want to leave anything we do, without opposing us in it.´´

Usaid bin Hudair and ´Abbad bin Bishr came and said: ´´O Messenger of Allah: The Hews say suh and such. Shall we have interourses with out wives during menses?´´ The face of the Messenger of Allah changed and we though that he was angry with them, but when they went out, a gift of milk was sent to the Messenger of Allah salla alayhi wa sallam, He (the Prophet salla alayhi wa sallam) called them and give them a drink, whereby they knew that he was not angry with them.
