Excellence of the prayer in congregation and waiting for it
323. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah sallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ´´Man´s prayer in congregation is better than twenty degrees and more than performing it in his house and his market. When he performs Wudu´ well, then goes to a mosque, with the sole intention of performing prayer. He does not take a step (in his way to a mosque) but he will be raised a degree, and a sin effaced until he enters the mosque; when he enters the mosque, he is considered as praying as long as he is waiting for prayer. And the angels continue supplicating for him saying: ´O Allah, be Merciful to him and forgive his sins. Accept his repentance.´ (And the angels continue this supplication for him) as long as he does or as long as his Wudu´ is nullified.´´
